Christian Youth Camps original started in 1948 at Wesley Dale, Tasmania providing youth Camps. In 1950 it purchased and moved to its current location at Camp Clayton, where it has been operating since. The site became known as Christian Youth Centre, when in 1975 the organisation became incorporated and the name changed to Christian Youth Centre Inc.
