The King's School began as a school in 1832 and has been operating mainly as a Boarding School for boys since that time and in more recent years predominantly day students are enrolled. Tudor House was acquired by the School Council in 1942 and has been mainly a Boarding School and similarly predominantly in recent years a school for day students.
