Hockey Victoria, along with Hockey Australia and fellow State Member Associations are committed to the safety of children and young people. Joining the National Redress Scheme forms part of that commitment. Over the past 24 months, the Safe Hockey program has been introduced nationally, providing policy, resources and education to thousands of members of the hockey family. We have joined the scheme in relation to state teams attending national championships, trials and camps and events and programs delivered by Hockey Victoria, where we have had direct oversight of children and young people in managed settings. If you experienced abuse in such a setting, we would encourage your application. While local hockey clubs are not included at this time, we would encourage any victim in this setting to apply so we may help, where possible, in achieving redress.
