Its historical foundations were from two significant religious congregations: Patrician Brothers (1981 - John Paul II Senior High School) and the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth (1967 - Holy Family High School). The dual campus high school took its name from the local parish, St Andrew the Apostle.
