About institution

Institution included through:
Queensland Country Women's Association
Also known as:
QCWA
Notes:
Since 1922, the QCWA has been concerned with the welfare of women and their children. The Association has been involved in many community projects since its formation. For several decades, the QCWA operated hostels in rural areas for children from the land attending school due to the lack of boarding facilities.

The Australian Government acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples throughout Australia and their continuing connection to land, water, culture and community. We pay our respects to the Elders both past and present.
