Roebourne Regional Prison was located on Queen Street at the site of the old Roebourne Police Gaol, from 12 Mrch 1976 until it moved to Sampson Road on 23 March 1984. It is a detention facility for adult offenders, however it is possible some young offenders may have been placed there ad hoc.
