1957, St Philomena's Catholic School opened. 1963, the school changed it's name to St William's Grovelly. The Sisters of the Good Samaritan were invited to work in this ministry by the Archdiocese of Brisbane. Sisters were actively present in this institution from 1963 to 1990.
